On March 9, 2023, Mitchell Riley discovered an elementarycolour-preserving stable glider reflector that shifts the incoming glider by 8 lanes.[1]

The reflector is composed of a transparent bi-block, an eater 1, a drifty eater 3, a chucklebait and an unnamed catalyst.

The minimum safe repeat time is 59. Glider streams of periods 46-49 are period-doubled. A period-34 stream is converted into a period-102 stream; when two gliders are separated by 34 ticks, an additional block forms, which is removed by third glider.[1]

The reflector can be made into a toggle-like device with extra timed gliders;[2] in the "off" state, the input lane is transparent.
