204P41 is a period-41 oscillator found by Nico Brown on July 21, 2023, and is the first period-41 oscillator to be discovered.[1][2] It was originally found as 208P41, and the blinker eaters were quickly reduced by two cells each. It was the smallest known period-41 oscillator until the discovery of p41 pi-heptomino hassler.
Its discovery proved that Conway's Game of Life is omniperiodic.
Four copies of the dependent reflector loop can be used to stabilise the vex.[3]
Chris857 and Evin found a 106-glider synthesis of 208P41 the day of its discovery.[4][5] The synthesis was reduced to 104 gliders several hours later.[6][7]
