28P7.2 is an unnamed period7 oscillator discovered by Dean Hickerson in 1998. In terms of its 28 cells, it is tied with oscillators burloaferimeter, 28P7.1, and 28P7.3 as the smallest known period 7 oscillator.^{[1]} In September, 2000 Mark Niemiec and Jason Summers found a 22glider synthesis of this oscillator.^{[2]}
A stator variant of this oscillator appeared seminaturally on October 28, 2018, in a symmetric soup submitted to Catagolue by carybe.^{[3]}
