68P16 (or p16 wing hassler) is a period16 oscillator discovered by carybe in a symmetric soup on October 22, 2018 using apgsearch.^{[1]} It consists of eight blocks hassling four wings and four blocks, and produces useful sparks.
A 42glider synthesis for this oscillator was found by Mark Niemiec on November 2,^{[2]} which was improved to 39 by 2718281828 later that day.^{[3]}
On September 15, 2021, David Raucci used this oscillator to construct a period32 glider gun, smaller than the original p32 glider gun using a completely different mechanism that was posted just a few days earlier.^{[4]}
