Long hook with nine is an 11-cell still life.
This still life is comprised of the normally unstable long hook with a normally unstable nine attached. It can be substitutively referred to as the integral with long hook, with one pre-block of the integral sign replaced with a long hook, however "long hook with nine" is usually preferred for this object.
Occurrence
It is the 34th most common (i.e. 13th rarest) 11-cell still life out of 46. It is about 7 times as rare as the hooked integral and about 7 times as common as its one-cell extension, the trans-very long hook with nine.
Glider synthesis
- Main article: Glider synthesis
All strict still lifes with a population of 22 or fewer cells, all oscillators with 16 or fewer cells, and all spaceships with 31 or fewer cells are known to be glider-constructible. A glider synthesis of this object can be found in the infobox to the right.
