Discovered by Jason Summers
Year of discovery 2003

Jason's p11 is a period-11 oscillator discovered by Jason Summers in April, 2003.[1] The canonical version is stabilized by snakes; alternate stabilizations are possible, using e.g. bookends. The variant with the minimum population uses one centered house on each side, reducing the population from 144 to 132.[2]

The version stabilized by multiple houses first appeared semi-naturally in March 2016, in a symmetric soup submitted to Catagolue.[3]
