P11 pinwheel is a period-11 oscillator discovered by Nicolay Beluchenko in May, 2009.[1] It has the highest volatility of any known period 11 oscillator.

A 30-glider synthesis of this oscillator was found by Matthias Merzenich on April 20, 2010.[2] Matti Ward reduced the cost to 28 gliders on February 10, 2018.[3]

One stator variant has occurred semi-naturally, with the boats being replaced by long boats. Its first occurrence was on June 9, 2022.
