74P34 is a period-34 oscillator discovered by Mitchell Riley on July 6, 2022 using CatForce,[1] and is the first non-trivial example of its period. It can also be made into a wick or beehive factory.

It can be made into a sparker by adding a block and beehive, which enables the construction of a period-34 bumper.[2] This is the first independent reflector compatible with period-34 glider streams. It has the lowest possible repeat time of any bumper.

Carson Cheng found a 34-glider synthesis on the day of the oscillator's discovery.[3] Chris857 found a 30-glider synthesis on July 7, 2023.[4][5] On February 16, 2024, Chris857 lowered the cost to 26 gliders.[6][7]
