Talk:Twin bees shuttle
I changed the image of the twin bees shuttle to that of the smallest version (that I know of). The Pattern files are still of the previous version, however, and need to be updated to match the current image (the rle is protected so I am unable to edit it). I was also wondering if the synthesis file should be of the displayed pattern, which requires ten glider, or its current state, the minimal glider construction of any twin bees shuttle, 8. I bring this up because, although the current synthesis uses fewer gliders, the smaller version of the oscillator needs more.

- I think that's likely the smallest version too. I've updated the pattern files, and modified the "alternate" version to include another stabilization that was found by Koenig. I think that, for categorization purposes, we should keep the number of required gliders listed as 8 since that's the fewest known that can construct any twin bees shuttle. I've added syntheses for some of the alternate forms of the shuttle as well now though to the synthesis file. Nathaniel 22:11, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Each side only needs one block.
