A period-22 glider gun is any glider gun with period 22. The first true period 22 glider gun was discovered by David Eppstein on August 27, 2000. It uses two copies of Jason's p22, and was in fact found later on the same day as that oscillator. It is one of a relatively small number of known true period guns below period 78, where syringe-based guns become possible.
