Exceptional sparkling springs are an arbitrary subclass of sparkling springs which have 12 or more cells, are not part of the barberpole family, and can be broken down into a set of small, disconnected (orthogonally or diagonally) patterns (most of which are dying sparks) in either of their two phases.
