The lepa (also referred to as knightship[1] in the early 2020) is a (2,1)c/8 spaceship in LeapLife. It's the only known oblique spaceship in LeapLife, and the first, smallest, most common spaceship in LeapLife that does not work in Conway's Game of Life.
A glider can be temporarily seen at the front of the ship.[2]
Synthesis
Hunting proposed a 5-glider synthesis at the day of discovery based on a reaction from soup. Later, Naszvadi found a 4-glider synthesis using a different reaction, which is further improved to 3 gliders later.[3] A gun was constructed by cvojan immediately after the discovery of the period-22 glider gun. [4]
