"Two Gabriel's p138 hassling block"

Hey, could you please give me an apgcode for this? I can't seem to find it in any pattern collections or on the forums or Discord. Ian07 (talk) 21:45, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

p29 pre-pulsar shuttle

Hello, I changed the redirect Prime because I saw this is another (referenced) name for p29 pre-pulsar shuttle. Before changing I checked to make sure there were no links using redirect Prime. Is this reasoning invalid? Confocal (talk) 19:56, 5 June 2022 (UTC)

Sorry. I didn't realize this was actually the name of an object. I thought you were going through the list of primes (having just done 23) and clicked the wrong thing by accident. HotdogPi (talk) 19:59, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
Should the redirect be changed back or left as it is? Confocal (talk) 20:07, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
I don't really have a preference. HotdogPi (talk) 20:09, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
A better way is to make a disambiguation page for both meanings, which I have done. GUYTU6J (talk) 02:51, 6 June 2022 (UTC)

HF shuttles

Re: this -- was it a bad idea to split shuttles by period? If so, I can revert Honey farm shuttles back to this revision and manually re-add later additions. Is there a significant likelihood that a lot more HF shuttles will be found and that page will become unreasonably long? Confocal (talk) 14:30, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

  • They could be listed in both places. Before the split, maybe about 15-20% of hasslers were shuttles, so I don't expect it to get unreasonably long. HotdogPi (talk) 14:35, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
  • Listing them in both places would be nice if it was done automatically. Otherwise, the main page Honey farm shuttles will probably inevitably become out of sync with the by-period "Period-N honey farm hasslers#Shuttles" sections. I think I'll restore the single-page Honey farm shuttles several hours later, unless someone objects to that. Confocal (talk) 14:46, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

X (disambiguation)

Re: this -- I thought it's actually the other way round, and "X (disambiguation)" is preferred to "X". For example, category "Disambiguation pages" lists pages p44 gun (disambiguation), p46 gun (disambiguation), p52 gun (disambiguation). Am I missing something? Confocal (talk) 14:12, 12 April 2023 (UTC)

Wikipedia says that (disambiguation) in the title is only to be used if the form without it is an article or a redirect to an article, not a redirect to the same disambiguation page. It might not apply on LifeWiki. HotdogPi (talk) 16:33, 12 April 2023 (UTC)

Names

The edit summaries in 1, 2 are potentially misleading for other editors. The first column in User:77topaz/Forum handles table is "Preferred name for credits", which is reasonable as not everyone wants to go by their real name. Confocal (talk) 19:44, 6 June 2023 (UTC)

You said: Somewhat related: I feel like I was a bit premature with OCA:Grounded Life/List of common objects. While the page should still exist, should it be renamed to the rulestring? HotdogPi (talk) 12:20, 10 September 2023 (UTC)

I do not think so - I think that it should be consistant between the rule and the list of common objects as it could lead to confusion. Haycat2009

Who discovered this p132 pi-heptomino hassler variant?

Several days after the first such hassler was found you added a variant of it to the page tub-with-tail eater as it uses a variant of said eater. Later most of the hassler was deleted from there and instead there is now only the small eater reaction with a link to the page pi-heptomino hasslers, where I inserted the complete variant.

When I did that I noticed that many of the hasslers there have credit to the person who found them, but I wasn't sure who found this one. It doesn't appear to be on your relevant discovery page and your edit description didn't give me much to go for either. Do you recall (or can find somewhere) any record of who discovered this variant, in order to give them their due credit? Thanks! Roee.s (talk) 18:46, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

Both the original hassler and the variant on the right? Roee.s (talk) 06:03, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
I don't know, unfortunately. HotdogPi (talk) 09:38, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
I see now I got it all wrong. What I called "the variant on the right" is actually the original. It's all fixed now. Roee.s (talk) 18:26, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
