b1e adjustable ship that has a slightly higher max speed than the other b1e adjustable ship in this thread. You should be able to get diagonal and other such ships in this rule but i couldn't quite wrangle them into working.

The objects are interesting, but I only understood that after I actually looked at the objects themselves.
The descriptions in the forum post are rather confusing.

I don't understand the part "on both sides". What seems to be the obvious interpretation contradicts what can be actually observed in the posted pattern.
I don't understand the part "but not in the way you expect". What is the intended meaning here?

Rather than me trying to guess and list possible corrections / going over details of which parts are confusing or contradictory, I'll instead just suggest to put some more efforts into clearly defining every word or phrase that is used as a term (or refer to an existing definition if there's already a clear one), also making it clear which words and phrases aren't defined terms, and to be careful to avoid unnecessarily confusing/ambiguous wording (for example using the same word or phrase with multiple different meanings in a quick succession is often confusing; using different words or phrases to refer to the exact same idea in a quick succession also can be confusing, especially when nothing in the text tells the reader what is going on).

Interesting ideas deserve clear human-readable explanations. Many complex ideas cannot be explained without introducing sensible definitions and consistently following those definitions.
The reactions may well be interesting and fun, but if the discussions are confusing then those readers who don't grok your preferred jargon will feel excluded and disappointed. (All the same points also apply to a number of other posts in other discussions.)

The advancing mechanism is found by golfing myself, while the crossover,

Actually, it's a lot like a moving glider loop. To ensure that all speeds can be reached, the phase changes need to be a specific way (so that the ships with 1 signal inside have a period of 4n).
Finally got an example of this after 3 years. A while ago on Discord, Silversmith found a push reaction that worked with C signals sliding along a line, but with EPE I was finally able to find a completion. Below are true period C/81 and C/27 ships with 1 and 3 signals respectively. All rational speeds slower than or equal to C/26 are possible to create, as all nc/(2m+(n%2)) ships at or under C/26 can be easily made by inserting n signals at some given length of the ship. This implies that all unreduced rational speeds can be made with n or 2n signals.

That's a good question. I'm trying to explore the space by script at the moment for various things, and it is incredibly constrained. Part of the difficulty at the moment is finding common ships to even try to make a small adjustable ship with. Maybe also one of these rules has construction capabilities and some orthogonoid-like ship could be built.

This amoeba is really interesting it is very rectangular with a replike reaction at the edge. The edge reaction slowly grows the rectangle, and at first it seems like it would be explosive at first but rarely the amoeba will undergo rapid shrinkage. This leads to small soups growing at first until they reach a stable zone where they tend to stay between 500k and 2m cells. This leads to very long lived soups; for example this soup takes over 100m generations to stabilize

This related rule is awesome I have seen nothing like this before. Square amoeba are unstable and like to shrink one side and grow the other until they form a long line. This leads to amoebae bouncing between forming vertical and horizontal lines the size tends to grow, but because the lines are unstable the sometimes break as seen in this soup
