This is probably known, but I like this reaction

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 10, rule = B2n3/S23-q
b2o$b2o5$b2o$2b2o$obo$2o!
Here I made a tripole synthesis using it

Code: Select all

...that's the bakery. The tripole can be synthesised with 7 gliders via this exact reaction. (probably 6 but blocks in this rule are resilient little [REDACTED])

Ok. Just found the reaction in a random soup.

Anyways, I'm gonna go continue looking at random large soups.

Well in Life it's a formation of loaves of bread, like a bakery?

Naszvadi found a 6 glider synthesis on 02/05, and improved the block cleanup, reducing it to 5 on 02/06. There are at least two ways to make the constellation from 3 gliders, and I know several others too.

Code: Select all

x = 130, y = 16, rule = B2n3/S23-q

In Life, Bakery is a common constellation consisting of four loaves, and it has a very common predecessor. In this rule, that same predecessor forms two tripoles and two blocks instead.

That key reaction of the clean-up is found by me anyway, I should add.

Oh okay then. Bubbelgum made up the term "star" before so I thought he was doing the same thing here.

A short-wide c/4 is very likely to exist IMO. This looks promising but I haven't complete it yet

Apparently, no one is actually focusing on LeapLife. Or we'll announce this discovery earlier.

Oh, and the OP is now very outdated. For example, LeapLife is already on the Leaderboard(!!!!!!!!!!!!) thanks to your efforts.

Oh, yeah. The census pie looks like CGoL's now. Sadly, there are still no natural linear growth (but don't give up! It didn't yet appear does not mean it doesn't even exist.)

I will put a heavy update to the oscillator collection now.
