I was checking the soups of xs17_0ggc453zha6z11 in the hope of finding a synthesis component adding 10 cells (long snake and banana) to a fishhook. However, this soup lays a long snake first, followed by making a boat-bit, dropping a block, and reacting with a pi and an obo! spark parent; consequently the suggested 3-stage 7-glider component works in the other direction.

I missed a bunch of these updates because they were in posts from almost a week earlier. I probably would have missed them even if I was looking for update.

In the future, would it be possible to batch the updates together and do them all in a separate post, or attach them to the next day's post? Or at least not update a posting older than more than an hour or two?

That said, I do like all these new synthesis components.

To me it has been always interesting that a house-tie-boat induction coil can be made in only 3 gliders, even since my early days of practising synthesis. Inspired by soups, the key active region may be perturbed with one or two gliders to give a ship, fishhook or aircraft carrier for the tie.

A recipe for long^3 shillelagh in Niemiec's database would be applicable if two gliders were not crossing in an invalid manner; fortunately, spark_search reveals a glider + B-heptomino substitution. Ironically, it drops exactly the same bun predecessor as what I need as junk. Suppressing that before formation gives a cheaper xs18_255m853zw346 synthesis.

Did you find these manually?
Three-glider syntheses of single objects are (most likely) all known, see 3-glider collision.
Mark Niemiec's Life Page lists syntheses for small objects (here's a link for 4-bit still lifes), but it was not updated recently and some syntheses may be missing. You can search for a pattern by RLE.

Alternatively, you can search by RLE on Catagolue, but it shows only one synthesis.

Is there a better way to inject the indicated banana spark at generation 64? I have to employ both kickback reactions above, making the clearance of sub-pattern delivery very awful.
