Actually, I was wondering why there is a symbol for a dove in conduits when it seems almost useless as an input. More work should be put on this active region.HerscheltheHerschel wrote: ↑November 9th, 2023, 1:20 pmDid you just happen to use my D-to-beehive or is it just a coincidence?qqd wrote: ↑November 9th, 2023, 9:19 amDove eater consisting of three blocks, two of them transparent:Code: Select all

ECC lists a CFx115D converter that can be followed by the eater posted above, and can be preceded by PL328C. The other direction (a track that begins with a D and ends with a H) is possible by replacing the top block with an eater 1 and appending a glider-to-Herschel converter.

Hey, I come back on this kind of pattern.Jormungant wrote: ↑October 24th, 2023, 7:11 am...
Sometime, the usefulness of something you found might not be where you intended to from the search. I mean, here you have a nice circuit that could intercept a glider to make an H, all of that with spartan circuitry:
It might be nice for certain spartan circuits, since that could avoid having to use the spartan syringe, which is quite constrained valid follow up with the dependent block. That being said, I could not find a way to intercept that natural glider, which comes crashing with that block... maybe another boat factory might work. In any case, for now the dependent case works, with a neat (maybe) double use eater (thought I assume constructing 2 eater instead is less costly, just for flavor):Code: Select all

It's neo-Spartan, anyway -- slmake certainly wouldn't have any trouble building a shillelagh at that distance from everything else.
But that's really just a Conduit 1, anyway, and a ... paleo-Spartan? -- fishhook eater works just as well. Also there's no need to have that suppressed glider from the output Herschel cross the input lane:

2C!Nowadays it's often simpler to use something smaller like a demultiplexer that produces a glider rather than a Herschel, and route that wherever it's needed before converting it to Herschel form. But for self-constructing circuitry this mechanism might still come in handy somewhere (if it isn't already known -- not sure about that entirely.)

I found this Pi Heisenburp Glider reaction possibility but it's still rather slow
Edit:
And I don't figure how to connect the Pi input.
That's why I posted here.

I know ... double post
But it's for well separate the two purposes.
Here's some others Dove's catalysts.
There's a new D_to_G, some new eaters and more less interesting things.
Edit:
I add at the bottom my starting point which is a Dove + Block = Traffic Light (already known i think. It's the same 1rst block as the HerscheltheHerschel's D_to_Beehive).

nitpick, but the D to beehive was already known before HerscheltheHerschel joined, as it is used in a long-known Dove to glider; see Dove#Use in conduits

Matthew 22:15-22 (ESV)
Then the Pharisees went and plotted how to entangle him in his words. And they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are true and teach the way of God truthfully, and you do not care about anyone’s opinion, for you are not swayed by appearances. Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” When they heard it, they marveled. And they left him and went away.
Oh my God! -- it's full of search space!
