The current gun_120 costs only 726 cells according to Catagolue, and shows how the boat-bit reaction can be used for bounding box area reduction for pseudo-period guns:

The new gun is smaller than the single-barreled true-period form of the Simkin glider gun, which is the standard for the guntrue collection on Catagolue.

There was a recent (February 7) LifeWiki CurrentNews item saying that there were ten true-period guns lower on the list than the p120 Simkin glider gun. That's now obsolete in two ways: there are eleven guns smaller than the p120 on the list -- but twelve guns smaller than the Simkin glider gun which has fallen off the list entirely.

If we manage to cobble them together, we would be able to eliminate the bouncers currently in the build, thereby possibly reducing the bounding box. It definitely looks like the sparking reactions are compatible enough for a working solution. Changes to the P5 sparker are necessary to give
the new p7 sparker clearance and still spark the pre-pulsar hassler properly.

It allows you to pull the Quadri-Snark in by one fd, so removing a row. The mold in the previous position would have been destroyed by a spark if you tried to do this.
