I found a component that changes a boat motif to an aircraft carrier motif if synchronized with something else to modify the induction appropriately.

Actually the long boat removal only takes 2G, as any one of the bottommost two gliders can be removed and still cleanly eliminate the block:

Can someone run transfer.py on the 1000 most expensive SL in each tabulation please? It might reduce quite a few syntheses, since there are likely many outdated components in use, and recent CatForce runs mean that there are more components for Shinjuku to work with.

There are some components stamp collections by Extrementhusiast in this thread : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2380. The most useful ones are components_v4 and its sorted version by Inferno (a few posts below). An even older collection was provided by BobShemyakin here : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2441&p=38455#p38455 (I never use it, but it has an interesting sorting by cost and change in population).

Marc Niemiec's database is also useful, because it contains several variants for most syntheses, even if it has not been updated since 2015.

Shinjuku is more a database of syntheses than of components, but can be used that way. For such requests, you have to use the script transfer.py (through paratran.py). See a post on how to use transfer.py here : viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3915&p=212727#p212727. There is now also transfer.cpp, which does essentially the same thing.

hkoenig also maintains a component database, but since pentadecathlon.com is down I don't think this is available online.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but what's the largest (as in number of cells added) single-stage component?

Searching this thread for the word "blob" comes up with a couple candidates, but I don't really know how to find the absolute biggest.

This is a collection of synthesis components I've been collecting for the last couple years, mostly of small still lifes, sparking oscillators, and active regions especially for the purpose of synthesizing hassler-type oscillators. Around the time that I was working on synthesizing the p23 honey farm hassler, my main resource was Mark Niemiec's collection, but I was having a lot of repetition in some of my synthesis files (as I worked on more than one thing). And Niemiec's collection hasn't been updated in a while, and especially when a couple more eater1 syntheses were found during that time, I wanted a single place to gather useful syntheses.

The organization isn't finished by any stretch (but I'd say it's pretty good) - it's sorted into still lifes, (sparky) oscillators, and active regions, further sorted by the directions that gliders and XWSSes come from, as I've found that clearance has been one of the most important features / biggest challenges in the syntheses I've worked on.

It's pretty big for a single stamp collection, but I like being able to see a lot of options at once and zoom in and out between things.

Earlier I found a two-glider conversion which changed the left into the right. However, I lost the converter. I think the gliders were in different phases if that helps anyone find it.
