Hornets are kinda frightening.

They have the most dangerous sting of wasps, bees, etc. and apparently if they’re (accidentally or not) crushed they produce pheromones or esters or something which basically alert other hornets that they have someone to ruthlessly attack (namely, whoever’s covered in hornet chemicals).

Since I live in a place where I have to worry about hurricanes, 2017 was an awful year (in the Atlantic, even on the east coast of the US)
I remember there was some unusual bits.
For instance, Hurricane Ophelia was really really odd. It seemed like a rather typical hurricane until it swerved around and headed northeast. It’s kind of ridiculous to think of a hurricane which survived moving as far north as the UK and eventually Norway.

A hurricane from the Atlantic, in NORWAY?

That’s climate change for you. (To be fair, some people have other explanations for hurricane Ophelia but regardless we’ll have these kinds of storms more and more unless people realize that long-term gains are better than short-term ones)
