Anyways X3VI is now the first non-totalistic rule to officially get to 1 trillion objects. This also acts as a proof-of-concept for just HOW MUCH pure computing power can find:

As soon as I get (enough) free time on my hands I would like to start developing conduits in rule X3VI, but it's not easy as most useful programs for this matter are developed exclusively for CGoL.
I think there needs to be development in this line, which -as can be seen from the first page of the thread- is promising, to generate real interest in the rule at this point.

I see people are coming back to this rule in apgsearch, mostly due to a user named unnick.
Either way, I found a true-period c/4d, the first spaceship that isn't a period multiple of c/2o or based on the 3c/12d. c/3o remains elusive.

Sorry for necropost, but this is something notable that had not been accomplished within nearly 7 years since the discovery of The Most Apg-ed Isotropic Non-totalistc Rule, which is this rule:

Seeing that The Most Apg-ed Isotropic Non-totalistc Rule had no 90-degree reflector after so many years is what had me register, given how "easy" it is to find given the correct tools, and do any of you remember the intended specialization of this rule: c o n d u i t s! Yet all it really got is crazy apg-ing until it became The Most Apg-ed Isotropic Non-totalistc Rule...
Anyway, here's the tool in question: The very underrated INT adaptation of CatForce
Yes, i know it's a little hard to learn, and the posts in that thread don't have a tutorial (click here for instructions), but it is definitely worth it, see the easy discovery of the 90-degree reflector for reference. Looks like i'm currently the only one who know how to properly use it
Other highlights found in the same run, from top to down, left to right, two new 180-degree reflectors, a 135-degree converter, a failed g to huge spark, a g to common sequence, and two failed 0-degree reflectors.
Finally, the full results of the patched CatForce run. Note the high amount of conduits that aren't working, which is completely normal.
Please don't use apg on this rule anymore though, it hardly yields anything good anymore and is thus definitely not worth it.
Any meaningful further development will probably be from the patched CatForce.
