Rate in Firefox?

Is it just me, or does this image look about 4x faster in firefox than in other browsers/off harddrive? I know that sounds pretty weird, but that's what I'm getting (and I've restarted ff too, as well as fully reloaded the page). Firefox speed appears to be around 8 generations/second to me. I'm not having any similar issue with any other pattern/image either. Elithrion 19:45, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Whoops, the gens/second is definitely way too high on this image. On my computer, animated GIFs appear properly in Firefox, but in any other browser they chug pretty horribly if they're more than about 5 frames per second. Since I use Chrome primarily, I hadn't noticed that it was chugging (and thus appeared normal to me). Nathaniel 20:15, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
That might do it, but that's not the only oddity. When I open it from my hardrive (in ACDSee specifically), I get about 5 generations/second. Still probably too fast, but about half the speed of what firefox outputs, which is pretty bizarre. Incidentally, what's the preferred speed nowadays? I recall we started out with 2.5gen/s, but the web tool doesn't actually have a setting to output that, does it (as it takes its speed from the integer speed you have the pattern running at)?
