47575M is a methuselah with a lifespan of 47575 generations, discovered by Adam P. Goucher on February 10, 2019, using apgsearch.[1] It is currently the longest-lasting known methuselah to fit within a 16×16 bounding box, surpassing Homer which was discovered in November of the previous year.
Smaller forms
On the following day, Goucher found an 18-cell form lasting 47484 generations, below. A few minutes later, Tanner Jacobi and Aidan F. Pierce responded with 16-cell forms lasting three more generations:[2]

Stable pattern
The stable pattern that results from 47575M (excluding 57 escaping gliders) has 3769 cells and consists of 281 blinkers (including 31 traffic lights), 276 blocks, 157 beehives (including five honey farms), 52 loaves, 52 boats, 16 ships, 11 ponds, eight tubs, four long boats, one carrier, and one toad.
