B track
A B track is a track for B-heptominoes. Since a B-heptomino becomes a Herschel plus a block in twenty generations, the term was more-or-less synonymous with Herschel track until the discovery of elementary conduits that convert a B directly to another B, or to some other non-Herschel signal output. Examples include BRx46B and BR24B.
| An Lx318 Herschel conduit consisting of HLx86R, RF28B, a chain of four copies of BRx46B, and a BF20H stage. The block left by the BF20H stage is removed by the leading glider emitted by HLx86R. The conduit can be extended by adding an even number of copies of BRx46B. (click above to open LifeViewer) |
