Achim Flammenkamp's census was a census of naturally-occurring ash objects conducted by Achim Flammenkamp in 2004.

The results were obtained by randomly seeding 1,829,196 tori of size 2048x2048 with an initial density of 0.375; a total of 50,158,095,316 objects were found, including 3,703 distinct still lifes and 95 distinct oscillators and spaceships.

On average, each resulting object occupied 152.96 cells; the asymptotic density of the ash was 0.0287115 bits/cell, and its temperature was 0.305597, almost entirely due to blinkers and toads.
