Trans-long boat with tail or up long boat with tail[1] is an 11-cell still life.

This still life is comprised of the normally stable long boat with a normally unstable tail attached. This is one of two possible isomers, named trans due to the corner part of the boat facing outwards from the tail; the other isomer, cis-long boat with tail, has this corner part tucked inwards.

Occurrence

See also: List of common still lifes, Most common objects on Catagolue

It is the 97th most common still life on Adam P. Goucher's Catagolue, being less common than very long barge but more common than cis-bun and wing. It is the 9th most common still life with 11 cells, being less common than trans-boat with nine but more common than hungry hat.[2]

The octohash database contains one collision with an occurrence of this still life in the ash.[3]

Glider synthesis

This still life is known to be constructible with 4 gliders.[4] Some known syntheses can be found in Mark Niemiec's database.[1]
