34P7 is a period-7 oscillator found by Charity Engine on August 2, 2022.[1] It is one of the useful period-7 sparkers that produces a similar corner dot spark to meatball; for an application see p49 R-pentomino hassler.
Meatball and 34P7 have different profiles; while they are mostly interchangeable, there are some situations where one gets hit later on but the other doesn't. When either could be used, 34P7 has a smaller population, but meatball has a smaller bounding box.

Being the smallest p7 oscillator that gives useable sparks, 34P7 is used in many LCM oscillators that are the Smallest Known Oscillators of their Periods (SKOPs). The select oscillators below are listed due to being the smallest known ones by population, while also satisfying the condition that at least one cell oscillates at the full period.[2] Do note that while 34P14 is equal in size and usually won't outperform 34p7, in rare instances 32P21 is more optimal for SKOP formation. The oscillators are shown with visible envelope, to highlight interactions between subpatterns.
