Discovered by Robert Wainwright
Year of discovery 1989

Twirling T-tetsons 2 is a period-60 oscillator that consists of a pre-pulsar hassled by killer toads. It was found by Robert Wainwright in 1989.[1] Tanner Jacobi found a stable support for this oscillator on December 2, 2020,[2] which was later reduced into a loaf spin by David Raucci on November 22, 2021,[3] and synthesized by iNoMed the next day.[4][5]

On June 19, 2022, Carson Cheng found a 30-glider synthesis of the original version of this oscillator.[6] On December 24, 2023, Carson Cheng found a 5-glider killer toads synthesis which lowered the cost to 29 gliders.[7][8] On December 28, 2023, after a 4-glider killer toads synthesis was found, Chris857 lowered the cost to 22 gliders.[9][10]

The period-60 pipsquirter is a variant (Catagoluehere) of the twirling T-tetsons 2, with one quarter supported by a still life, through which the perturbation supplied by the pre-pulsar drifts to become the squirted pip.

Generation 4, which shows that the object being hassled really is a pre-pulsar
