The p165 glider shuttle is a volatility-1 period-165 shuttle oscillator found by Robert Wainwright in 1989,[1] the first known oscillator of this period. It can be generalized to period 165 + 120 n, and will have[citation needed] an unsimplified strict volatility of (316+210*n)/(792+210*n).

On August 12, 2023, Chris857 reduced the synthesis cost from 24 gliders to 22 gliders.[2][3]
