The p165 glider shuttle is a volatility-1 period-165 shuttle oscillator found by Robert Wainwright in 1989 ,[1] the first known oscillator of this period. It can be generalized to period 165 + 120 n , and will have[citation needed ] an unsimplified strict volatility of (316+210*n)/(792+210*n) .
On August 12, 2023 , Chris857 reduced the synthesis cost from 24 gliders to 22 gliders .[2] [3]
