The first engine-based period-61 glider gun was discovered by Mitchell Riley on April 5, 2023. The active part of this gun consists of two symmetrically arranged honey farm sequences.[1][2][3] With bounding box 47 × 44, it is the smallest known glider gun of this period,[4] beating the previous signal-loop-based design with bounding box 101 × 88.[5]
