Please discuss

Going by your edit summaries, I presume you intend to put this on every single oscillator page? If so, please discuss this plan at the tiki bar first; this is a fairly substantial change that I think should not be implemented by fiat without any kind of prior discussion. The colours in the palette of the table are hardly recognised by people suffering from colour deficiency, colour blindness! Needs to be changed. 07:48, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

What about oscillators that don't have their own article?

Can you provide Catagolue links for those? We could link the Catagolue page from here. Goldenratio (talk) 19:39, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

Also, who says we can't divide the loop period by non-powers-of-two? 152, 208 Ian07 (talk) 02:41, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

The following periods have red links that should be resolved (apgcodes or rles would be helpful):

Cell colors

The colors of the LCM oscillators just got changed, and I'm wondering if the new color is better or not. Does anyone have any opinions on the table cell colors? Ideally, they should be color-blind friendly.

Rectifier

Many of the numbers link to Rectifier, but that page doesn't explain how the oscillators are formed or how many cells they have. --Galoomba (talk) 10:59, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

Links need to change, or something needs to get added to links

Some of the multiple-of-6 brown "glider shuttle" links seem to link to p6 thumb -- but there's nothing on that page that really gives a hint about why the link from, e.g., "162" goes there. Similarly, the "270" link goes to buckaroo, though that one at least shows the 180-degree reflection that's needed to build a p270 oscillator (just have to copy it, run it 135 ticks, then paste a rotated copy).

Any objection if I add some content to those linked pages so that the links make better sense? Dvgrn (talk) 02:51, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
